Summary:
The Development Director is a strategic and dynamic leader responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure financial resources necessary to achieve [Organization Name]'s mission. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct market research and identify new and emerging funding opportunities.

- Create and manage a robust fundraising budget.
- Fundraising Operations:
- Oversee all aspects of fundraising, including donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Manage the development team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key donors, foundations, and corporations.
- Manage donor databases and CRM systems.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and cultivate strong relationships with existing donors and potential supporters.
- Engage donors in meaningful ways and provide excellent donor service.
- Develop and implement donor recognition and stewardship programs.
- Manage board development activities, including board recruitment and engagement.
- Communication & Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular reports on fundraising progress and performance.
- Communicate fundraising initiatives and success stories to stakeholders, including the board, staff, and donors.
- Develop compelling fundraising materials, such as proposals, grant applications, and appeals.
- Leadership & Teamwork:
- Collaborate effectively with other departments and senior leaders to ensure a cohesive fundraising approach.
- Foster a positive and productive team environment.
- Inspire and motivate the development team to achieve fundraising goals.
- Stay abreast of best practices in fundraising and philanthropy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
